Hey all,
Chip and I went to the Indy Winterfest Saturday (hitting Brugge Brasserie for lunch before the event) YUM! There were 50ish breweries there pouring (2-4 styles each). You got a 6oz cup--no limit. We collected the usual stickers, bottle openers and other schwag. There were a ton of people as the event sold out, but it was in a very large building so there was room to move. The only downer were the bathroom lines!
All of the Indiana and some out of state breweries were there including some of our more local faves (Shoreline, Bell's, Three Floyds, Founders etc). Some very good beers to sample for sure!
2 points of interest:
1) We picked up the barrel for the club Wee Heavy. They used the barrels for decoration, so we couldn't take it until the event was almost over. Tipsy people everywhere were SOOOO jealous as we rolled it all the way through the hall to the back door. Pretty Cool!!

HAHA FYI at least one other club is doing a Wee Heavy, but their recipe sounds a bit different.
2) Three homebrew clubs (MECA, CACA and MASH) had tables and were pouring their beer along with the breweries. We found out how we could get in on that next year. Just have to email the right guy! IBADS was also brewing outside in the beer garden.
All in all a very good day! If you get the chance to go next year, we definitely recommend it! BTW they only do advance ticket sales and limit the number.
