Thanks, Jim, for posting that info about HopUnion selling rhizomes; there is nothing on their website about that, so it is good to know that Vickie is now doing this on the side, and I'm always on the look-out for new sources. We have several new members in my 'Grow-Hops' group who have just joined us and are now looking for rhizomes, so I have added a link for HopUnion on our list of suppliers. If Vickie doesn't have the variety that folks here are looking for, we have over 30 sources just in the U.S. on our list of suppliers, plus some of our members in the northern states might be able to furnish rhizomes. I have no interest in any of the sources; this is my hobby, and I 'give away' rhizomes every year. I have 24 plants myself, with plans to expand to 30 next year. I have three Magnum that have not done well down here in Arkansas (this is their third year), so I will be getting rid of those crowns and replacing them with Centennial. I will also be expanding my Cascade. I will then have a row of 10 plants of each of the following: Fuggles, Centennial, and Cascade. I have room for another two rows, but but probably won't expand any further. I use a trellis/arbor system; the first row grows up to the top of an 8' trellis, and then crosses 11' to the top of the second row trellis; the second row crosses to the third, etc. It has worked very well. What I need is one of those hammocks that is suspended on a steel frame; ... set that baby up in the shade of my hops, have a few homebrews, and see what sort of dreams the hops will stimulate.
Cheers.
